Part 1 — Student Accommodation (Questions 1–10)

LANDLORD: Hi, come in! I'll show you around the house and explain the rules. STUDENT: Great, thanks. Can I ask — what was this place originally built as? LANDLORD: It was a private house [Q1 — C]. A family home, not a student flat or museum. STUDENT: And what facilities are available? LANDLORD: We have a bathroom, balcony, garden and kitchen — but there's no computer room [Q2] and no garage [Q3]. LANDLORD: Now, the rules. Q2–3 — C & E (computer room, garage): TWO facilities NOT in the house. The landlord lists what IS available, then states what is missing. Listen for "no" or "don't have."

Q4 — non-smoking: The rule for bedrooms and bathrooms — one hyphenated word. "Non-smoking" must be exact.

Q5 — laundry: The room that has an 11 pm curfew for use — "laundry room" is the full phrase.

Q6 — quiet: The lounge rule after 11 pm — one adjective.

Q7 — parking: What is not allowed in the yard — one noun.

Q8 — party: The weekend-only privilege — one word. "Parties" not accepted here as the gap needs singular.

Q9 — 6:00 am: The front door opening time — exact format matters. Various time formats accepted.

Q10 — front door key: What you collect from Room 101 — three words. Listen for the full phrase.

Part 2 — Sports Club Information (Questions 11–20)

RECEPTIONIST: Welcome to the sports club. Let me give you details about our tennis and soccer programmes. Tennis has 6 [Q11] teams. Soccer has 4 teams. Soccer accepts players up to age 20 [Q12]. The venue [Q13] for tennis is court 2. Soccer plays at court 4 [Q14]. Tennis matches are on Sunday afternoons [Q15]. Soccer is on Saturday [Q16] evenings. Q14 — court 4: Soccer's playing location — two words. Court 2 is for tennis (a common trap).

Q15 — Sunday afternoons: Tennis schedule — two words. "Afternoons" is plural.

Q16 — Saturday: Soccer's day — one word. The gap says "___ evenings."

Q17 — coach: Transport provided — one word. Note: "coach" here means a bus/vehicle, not the person.

Q18 — barbecue (dinner): How every match begins — "barbecue dinner" or "barbecue" both acceptable.

Q19 — MVP: The honour given to the best player — an abbreviation (Most Valuable Player).

Q20 — confirm letter: What players must submit by April 18th — two words.

Part 3 — Tutorial Meeting (Questions 21–30)

STUDENT: Hi, I'm looking for Professor Green. Has she moved offices? TUTOR: Yes — my new room number is 614 [Q21]. STUDENT: When can I come to see you? TUTOR: The tutorial time is at 2:00 pm [Q22]. Part 4 — Magic Meteor Astronomy (Questions 31–40)

LECTURER: Good morning. Today we explore the fascinating world of meteors and meteor storms. Meteors are usually named shooting star [Q31] — the common term used by the public.
